Our Farm Story.
We began our cut flower operation in 2020, but our farm story reaches back much further than that. Our farm has been in my family for over 30 years. My grandparents bought the land in the 80s as an escape from the suburbs and to teach their kids the importance of hard work. When they moved in the late 2000s, my parents bought the property from them.
My family would plant a large flower patch each summer full of sunflowers, zinnias, and cosmos. The flowers were enjoyed by our honeybees and close friends and family. In midsummer of 2020, my sisters and I got thinking. We had put so much time into prepping, planting, weeding, and watering—why not share our gorgeous blooms with more members of the community?
We were thrilled to become a vendor of the South Lyon farmers market in August of 2020. This was our first experience sharing our flowers with others and we were quickly hooked. Seeing people’s faces light up at our colorful display of local blooms convinced us to go all-in on our cut flower operation. Being a part of the market fueled our passion for cut flowers, sustainable farming, and shopping local.
We spent the fall and winter researching, planning, and prepping. This year we are growing over 75 varieties of flowers and foliage and are opening the farm to visitors. Whether you find us at a local market or visit the farm, we hope our that our flowers put a smile on your face.
